Terms & Conditions
The bits that govern your order. We've kept the language plain wherever we can, but the legal points still stand.

Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to every order placed with Philps Pasties through https://buy.philpspasties.co.uk. By placing an order you confirm that you've read, understood, and agreed to them.
Philps Pasties is a trading name of Philps Bakery Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is 1 East End, St Just, Cornwall, TR19 7HF, United Kingdom.
Placing an order
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. When you place an order, you'll receive an automatic email confirming we've received it. The contract between us is formed when we send a separate dispatch confirmation, not when the order is placed.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order at our discretion — for example, if a product was incorrectly priced, if stock is unavailable, or if we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel, we'll refund any payment in full within 5 working days.
Pricing & payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.
We take payment in full when you place the order, via Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal. Card details are never stored on our servers.
Where a discount code is applied, it can only be used once per customer, can't be combined with other offers, and may exclude certain products at our discretion.
Dispatch & delivery
Dispatch days, lead times, free-delivery thresholds and courier details are explained on our dedicated Delivery page. Those terms form part of this contract.
Title and risk in the goods passes to you once the courier has delivered them to the address on the order. If you've asked the courier to leave a parcel in a safe place, we can't be liable for any loss or damage that follows.
Returns & refunds
Because every pasty, scone, and saffron bun is baked fresh to your order, we're unable to accept returns on food items under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
If anything arrives damaged, late, or not as described, please email us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo and your order number, and we'll replace or refund right away.
Non-perishable items (merchandise, mugs, hampers without food) can be returned unopened within 14 days for a refund. Return shipping is at your cost unless the item is faulty.
Intellectual property
All content on https://buy.philpspasties.co.uk — including imagery, logos, recipes and copy — is owned by Philps Bakery Ltd or licensed to us. You may not reproduce or redistribute it without our written permission, except to share a link to a public product or article.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Subject to that, our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with your order is limited to the amount paid for the affected order.
We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable to both of us when the contract was formed, or for any business losses (such as loss of profit, loss of contract, or loss of goodwill).
Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — for example, when we change a courier or update a payment provider. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the day you placed it.
